How to Start Wonderland

From the ScaryPlay lobby to your first randomised park without a fake early-access link.

Getting Started

Wonderland is a Roblox co-op horror escape set in a bright park that does not want you to leave. ScaryPlay — MUCDICH, ivasmigins, and the rest of the team that built The Mimic — shipped it on 14 August 2026 after pulling an 8 August window when Roblox rated the experience 16+. They wanted a wider audience. The park still flashes, screams, and jumps. Turn graphics up, wear headphones, and do not buy a lookalike that charges Robux for “early access.” That product does not exist.

This page is the first-hour loop: official client, lobby, code, coaster, first rules. Sibling guides cover escape, survival, puzzles, co-op, and combat. Watch the official trailer in the middle of this article for the tone, then come back to the checklist. The trailer is not a route map.

Before you press Play

Open the experience published by the ScaryPlay group, not a clone with a sun emoji in the title. Join the group if you want the advertised in-game rewards. Keep the official links page bookmarked so Discord invites stay clean.

The title screen has a green Play button. That button is the lobby, not the park. If you skip the lobby Shop, you skip RELEASE26 and 100 Gems. Redeem first using how to redeem codes. Then walk.

The lobby is a sorting machine

The lobby splits by player count. Solo has a row. Duos and larger parties have their own. Wonderland allows a quiet one-player escape or a full five-player sit. Find the section that matches the people actually standing with you. Sitting in a five-row with two friends still starts a run, but randoms can fill seats depending on how the lobby is populated. If you want a closed group, wait until your stack is complete. Co-op explains why a stranger who sprints is expensive.

The ride in is a roller coaster. Sit. That is the load trigger. There is no chapter door and no book.

What the park expects on minute one

You will not get a reliable overhead map for free in every build — community catalogues list a Wander Doodle as a free Shop take, and you should grab information the first time the Wonder Shop is safe to open. Tickets come from mini-games. Gems from codes are a different pile; see Gems and Tickets.

Stamina drains while you sprint and recovers while you walk. Standing still is not the recovery plan. How to survive is the longer version. The short version: arrive at the first puzzle with a bar left.

Lives are a squad resource. Three. Not three each. A solo player still has three. A five-stack still has three. That single fact changes how you treat a teammate who is “just scouting.”

The trailer in the middle is homework, not a spoiler dump

The final trailer shows Mr. Sun talking, the Wonder Shop, NPCs, a device with a timer and three lives, and a Minigun on a large target. Use it to recognise those objects. Do not use it as a promise that you will spawn next to a Minigun. Ticket costs on the shop planner are closer to the truth.

First purchases and first fights

Buy vision and time before volume. Rankings live on the shop item tier list. If a large toy closes and you have no hallway, then the combat guide matters. Mr. Sun is a bad Hammer target in normal patrols. Wonder listens for sprint. Wander lies about doors. Those three have pages under named threats.

Controls without a unique scheme

Wonderland uses Roblox movement plus a stamina sprint. Camera, crouch, and interact follow the platform defaults. The controls tool lists habits that survive a keybind change. Rebind in Roblox settings if you need to; do not hunt a secret Wonderland-only keymap that ScaryPlay has not published.

After the first death

You will die. The park shuffles. Read how to escape so the next sit has a win condition, and puzzles so the next Ticket pile is intentional. If the game feels like a Mimic sequel, read the review for the actual differences: randomisation, shop combat, no folklore books.

When you are ready, leave this page, redeem if you have not, sit the correct coaster, and walk to the first puzzle like it is the exit — because sometimes it is.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How do I start a Wonderland run?

Press Play on the title screen, redeem codes in the lobby Shop if you want Gems, walk to the player-count section you need, and sit on the roller coaster.

Is Wonderland a The Mimic chapter?

No. Same studio family, different world. No book select, randomised park, Tickets, and a shop that sells weapons.

Should I play solo first?

Solo is a clean way to learn stamina and puzzles without randoms spending lives. Co-op is better once you can explain shared lives in one sentence.

Why does the game warn about lights and sound?

The experience includes flashing lights, loud audio, and jumpscares. Raise graphics and use headphones if you want the intended read, or lower effects if you are sensitive.
