Wonderland Ranks and Classes

Fifty ranks, a four-branch Gem tree, and four permanent classes. XP is earned, never bought.

Ranks and Classes

Ranks arrived with the 1–2 September 2026 BIG REVAMP. They are a long ladder, not a pay wall. Wonderland has 50 ranks grouped into six bands: Wanderer, Explorer, Seeker, Survivor, Pathfinder, and Veteran. You climb by playing. You do not climb by opening the Robux catalogue. XP is never bought. XP is never spent. That second sentence matters as much as the first: the ladder is not a second Ticket wallet you drain for a Map.

Open the ladder from the rank chip. The XP Board lives in the lobby. Check it before you sit the coaster, the same way you check codes and how to redeem. The board will not grant a fourth life and will not hatch a Wonder Egg. It shows where you are on the 50-step climb and which rank gate is still locked on the tree.

How XP is earned

XP comes from three honest jobs:

  • Banking Lumens with Wormy.
  • Going deep into a sit instead of dying in the first hallway.
  • Surviving chases, including Mole and the giant worm.

If you skip the Lumen loop, you skip a rank feed. If you wipe at the first toy, you skip the deep-sit feed. If you panic-sprint every chase, you skip the survive feed and you also feed Wonder. Rank is a side effect of playing the walkthrough correctly, not a replacement for it. Getting Started still comes first. How to escape is still the win. True ending is still extra work the ladder does not skip.

Tickets remain the run currency you spend at the Wonder Shop. Gems remain the slower pile from codes, eggs, and the skill tree. Lumens remain the collectible you bank. Read Gems and Tickets if those three words still blur. Rank XP is a fourth counter that only goes up.

The skill tree

The tree has 21 upgrade families on four branches: Haul, Breath, Nerve, and Charms. Nodes cost Gems. Rank gates sit in front of later families. You cannot buy a gate. A pile of Gems with a Wanderer chip will not unlock a Veteran node. That is the whole anti-pay-to-skip rule. Spend Gems on nodes you can actually reach. Save the rest. Do not dump the bank into Wonder Eggs and then complain the tree is empty — eggs are WonderLite cosmetics, not rank.

Names we can stand behind after the revamp:

  • Haul-facing: Broad Back, Deep Pockets, Sure Grip.
  • Breath-facing: Lungs, Second Breath, Chest Lungs.
  • Nerve-facing: Thick Skin, Spring Heels, Field Medic, Sure Feet, Watchman.
  • Quick Recovery reads as a reset node. We will not force it onto a branch until the live tree labels it in your client.

Haul is carry and pocket. Breath is the bar you already mismanage on stamina and lives. Nerve is the body that takes a hit and still finishes a puzzle. Charms is both a branch and a wearable slot system: rank opens slots, Gems buy the charm nodes, and you equip what you own. Empty slots do not make you a hunter. Full slots do not replace a Map.

Buy Breath before you buy a fantasy if you still dump the sprint key. Buy Haul if you keep leaving Lumens on the floor. Buy Nerve if chip damage, not bosses, is eating the shared three lives. Buy Charms when the rank chip has actually opened a slot. That order survives a later node rename better than a fake full tree.

Four classes

The revamp added four Gem-priced classes. They are permanent. They show as a nameplate tag and a worn cosmetic. They sit on the lobby hotbar. They refresh at stops. We are not inventing class names here; use the four labels your client shows. Pick one for the sit you are about to play, not for a thumbnail.

A class is not a fourth hunter and not a script. It does not replace combat decisions and it does not replace walking. Refresh at stops means you plan around the train, not around a cooldown you invented in Discord. If a teammate’s nameplate shows a class tag, that is identification, not a reason to steal their hotbar.

Classes cost Gems. Rank costs time. Eggs cost Gems and an hour. Keep those sinks in different mental buckets so you do not bankrupt the tree for a flashlight skin. The shop planner is still Tickets. This page is Gems plus XP.

How to use the ladder in a stack

Say your band, not your ego. “Seeker, Breath nodes, no class yet” is a useful lobby sentence. “Veteran” is not a reason to buy five Miniguns. Lives are still shared. Helpers are still Zippy and Wormy. Hunters are still Mole, the giant worm, Mr. Sun, Wonder, and Wander. Two revamp monsters are still unnamed — do not pin a class counter on a nickname you made up.

After a wipe, check the XP Board. If the number did not move, you died too early to feed the deep-sit rule. If it moved and the tree is still gated, you need rank, not another egg. If WORMYGOOD is unclaimed, redeem the 150 Gems and put them on a node you can actually click. What’s new will log a rebalance if ScaryPlay posts one in Discord #update-logs. Until then, treat the 50-rank ladder as live, treat XP as unbuyable, and treat gates as walls you walk through by playing, not by paying.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How many ranks does Wonderland have?

Fifty ranks in six bands: Wanderer, Explorer, Seeker, Survivor, Pathfinder, and Veteran. Open the ladder from the rank chip; the XP Board is in the lobby.

Can I buy rank XP?

No. XP is earned by banking Lumens, going deep, and surviving chases. It is never bought and never spent.

What do skill-tree nodes cost?

Gems. Later families are gated by rank, and you cannot buy a gate.

What are the four skill-tree branches?

Haul, Breath, Nerve, and Charms. There are 21 upgrade families across those branches.

Are the four classes permanent?

Yes. They are Gem-priced, show as a nameplate tag and worn cosmetic, sit on the lobby hotbar, and refresh at stops.

Should I spend Gems on Wonder Eggs or the tree?

The tree is power you can reach at your rank. Eggs hatch WonderLite skins and do not help you escape.
